Residente was created to be the go-to spot for Cascais locals; and anyone passing through! With a focus on healthy pleasures, the challenge was to design a space that works just as well by day as by night, offering a menu that runs from brunch to late-night dinners, complete with cocktails.
Resident’s brand concept is centered around both its physical inhabitants and those who embrace a lifestyle of “Healthy Pleasures.” Infused with a fun, cool vibe and featuring shades of green, the brand’s visual identity is inspired by the square tile format, evoking a sense of timeless presence.
Spatially, the idea was to create an indoor garden using natural materials, with terracotta and green tones. Plants are a fundamental and prominent element of the space. To represent the restaurant’s duality of serving both during the day and at night, an L-shaped bar was constructed, serving cocktails on one side and pastries on the other.
Additionally, we designed various elements such as, menus, uniforms, coasters, wayfinding, social media aesthetics, stickers, take-away boxes and merchandise.
